Monitoring and Evaluation:

SOCCORED uses monitoring and evaluation framework through agreed periodical work plans and progressive reporting mechanism. The quality assurance unit carries out field monitoring missions, baseline surveys, program/project portfolio review meetings and shares feedback with the centre to modify and improve the methods and practices.

Strategies for SOCCORED Framework:

  • Conflict resolutions and reconciliation through social healing/social cohesion, social peace contracts, community peace plan and peace dividends support
  • Community driven development initiatives by enhancing government effectiveness and empowering community to exercise their rights through civic education, district council elections and capacity building for the elected district councils and supporting district administrations
  • Collective strategic engagement into recovery and bottom up development approach at all levels through Participate to Learn, Act and Nurture (PLAN) approach.
  • Mobilization of youth and women to generate employment opportunities and decent work

Partnerships:

As many researches made by different academics and assessments carried out by independent circles asserted, the major rural community clashes and instabilities are primarily causes by lack of resources, drought-consequences like bad grassing, water scarcity, poor living conditions and poverty and lack of law enforcing governmental institutions.

Therefore, SOCCOREDs approach is to help the traditional leadership and community development initiatives in partnership with public, private and government institutions in order to reduce violence and improve the living standard of the people. We promote partnerships with government institutions, NGOs, Enterprises, and international agencies with the view that all to deliver good public services.

Managing Funds:

Our efforts are aimed at using available resources more efficiently and develop sustainable services for the benefit of the target beneficiaries. Our Capacity also includes establishment of diverse professional staff and consultants with broad ranges of conflict resolution experiences and  community driven initiatives from traditional leadership and cultural diversity background. Thus, due to experiences collected from the previous  civil wars, social moblilization through hybrid initiatives derived from traditon and modern reconciliating metholodogy can actively promote durable understanding between the rivalry social groups, namely rural waring clans and other similar community unrest.

Furthermore, in order to smoothly reach our pre-designated goals, and harmonize our necessary efforts for such targets, we have administrative, financial, procurement and human resource management guidelines and policies.
